HeForShe

HeForShe is about making simple, achievable personal commitments which inspire others to join the conversation, show support for gender parity and making all of our lives, and those of whom we serve, more inclusive.

Created by UN Women to give men and women a platform to promote positive change on behalf of women, Insuring Women’s Futures has launched this campaign across the profession to give everyone the opportunity to see where they can personally make a difference in reinventing insurance for women.

You don’t have to be in charge of product design to make a difference to how our profession is seen by and experienced by wider society. Your commitment could be about how you plan to promote equality within your family or local community – or of course at work. The important thing is to share it and speak out. Together we can all make a difference.

On 5 September 2016 IWF launched the first HeForShe campaign to span an entire profession.

Dominic Christian, and Russell Higginbotham, incumbent and upcoming Presidents of the IIL will be joined by Laura Haynes, UK Chair of UN Women, the Insuring Women’s Futures Committee, as well as Huw Evans, Director General, ABI in sharing their own personal commitments and explaining what HeForShe means to them personally.

Are you #HeForShe?

Making a commitment for HeForShe is about personally committing to doing something positive in support of gender equality.

It should be personal to you – not something you’re committing your employer or any other organisation to do, and it should ideally touch on one of the five categories below.
